The Grand Prix award is given in sixteen category:
1. Grand Prix for public relations in the bodies of the state government of the Republic of Croatia
2. Grand Prix in regional and local government sector
3. Grand Prix for non-governmental sector
4. Grand Prix for public relations in large companies
5. Grand Prix for small and medium-sized companies
6. Grand Prix for CSR (corporate social responsibility)
7. Grand Prix for internal communication
8. Grand Prix for best adaptation of world campaigns
9. Grand Prix for political communication
10. Grand Prix for digital communication
11. Grand Prix for event organization
12. Grand Prix for best communication strategy
13. Grand Prix for communication with sponsors
The last three award are special prizes:
14. Grand Prix for Professional development
15. Grad Prix for Communicator of the year
16. Grand Prix for Anti-Communicator of the year
To even participate you have to meet the criteria that HUOJ has. For the judges they have to be careful that this 4 principles are satisfied.The principle of domestic sources (originality and creativity), principle of equal opportunities, third is principle of objectivity and the last one is principle of knowledge.
For the participants the evaluation is based on this criteria: planing and project preparation, evaluation and results, creativity and innovation, technical performance and presentation of the project.
When the deadlines for applications passes the jury get all the materials need to make choices and pick a winner. They have enough time to discuss the applications and the winners are announced on special ceremony.

The special thing about this years Grand Prix receiver of the best communicator of the year is that he is not professional communicator. His name is Ante Mrvica and he is retired Jadrolinija (the biggest bargee in Croatia) employee. They call him „Good spirit of the Split port“.
