Maria Paula Marques, doutorada em Química pela Universidade de Coimbra, é a atual sub-coordenadora da Unidade de I&D Química-Física Molecular. A par desempenha funções de professor auxiliar na Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia da Universidade de Coimbra. É a responsável pelo Laboratório de Cultura Celular. Participa como membro ativo dos consórcio Raman4Clinics e Clirspec. É atualmente líder do preojecto BioImpact.
