Pigs do fly. Alaska Democrats & Obama supporters defend Palin on pipeline record that AP says was “flawed” when they were “fact checking” Going Rogue: An American Life (isn’t that opining anyway? Is the AP supposed to do that?). A snippet from the Juneau Empire, that I thought was especially telling:

The AP story quoted only two legislators, Senate President Lyda Green, R-Wasilla, and Sen. Bert Stedman, R-Sitka, both in the minority who voted against the TransCanada deal.

Juneau Rep. Beth Kerttula said AP reporter Burke talked with her, but didn’t include her defense of Palin.

"I don’t believe Gov. Palin should become vice president, but I don’t think this story was fair and accurate," she said. *snip*

The story said the oil companies were unhappy that Palin did not support their request for 45-year tax and royalty freezes but didn’t say that Palin and most legislators think that is not allowed under the Alaska Constitution. (emphasis mine, be sure to read the whole thing)

Instead of calling themselves the Associated Press, I think Another Prevarication would be better suited. AP can now be filed under news you can not trust. Putting another nail in mainstream journalism’s coffin.

Update: I goofed, that story was from 2008. Sorry! Just a little detail. I’ll leave my mistake, with this correction, up. Unlike AP.
