There’s a reason why there is no excitement for Super Mario in 3DLand. What idiot designed this game? It looks like a mess. The Tanooki tail is not being used correctly. The NSMB aesthetic was disliked in both NSMB DS and Super Mario Brothers 5 so why is it here? No multiplayer. The gameplay looks slow and lacks the momentum of 2d Mario.

It looks like the game was designed by a moron who said, “Herp derp! If I mix gameplay and aesthetic aspects of the NSMB DS and Super Mario Brothers 5 game with rampant use of the tanooki tail, people will like this game.” We don’t know the designer of this game so we’ll call him Mr. Herp Derp. What exactly is in this video that Mr. Herp Derp thinks is ‘fun’? What it tells me is that Mr. Herp Derp has no understanding why the 2d Mario games sold.

Why would anyone buy this game? Yes, its a serious question. I’m not sure what the attraction of this game is supposed to be. At least the Galaxy games gave a sense of adventure in their environments. Everything looks bland. Did EA make this game?
