Above: There are actually five difficulty levels with Inferno being the last one. Much replay value in this game.

I’ve completed Normal Difficulty of Diablo 3. At first, I had some issues with the last boss. Then I tried a different strat, re-did all my skills (and I mean ALL of them), and I killed the last boss with barely a scratch.

Someone might ask, “What class are you playing?” Let this be the hint:

A reader might ask, “Gee, Malstrom, it’s about time you finally finished it on Normal. Other players are working on Inferno (the last difficulty).” Well, Mr. Smarty Pants Reader, I haven’t been able to play as much. One night I chose to make another character to play with a Lady Friend (which resulted in a much more satisfying score then the path of our hardcore friends). Other times I got hit by the server issues. By hit, I mean the server went down right before I finished a dungeon, and I had to do it all over again.

I’ll give more feedback and impressions of the game at a later time. I can either write on the blog or start Nightmare. And I’m choosing Nightmare.

But let me say this game oozes with Old School Charm. It doesn’t try to be a movie (with moving camera angles and shit. The camera doesn’t move at all. It is glorious). Its story is as ambitious as the classic Final Fantasy games. It has the intensity of a first person shooter. It has the camaraderie of Gauntlet. It has the ‘Second Quest’ re-playability thing of Zelda I going for it with the extra difficulty levels. I can’t stop playing it. And everyone I know can’t stop playing it either. Whether or not that will last remains to be seen. So far, I recommend the game to anyone. If you’re still unsure, wait for the demo to come out soon.
