I would really like to have you compare the difficulty of Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn to something like Diablo 3. All my friends think Nintendo games are for kids… I gave a hardcore strategy gamer a copy of Advance Wars, and he literally rage quit and told me they intentionally made it too difficult. 🙂 haha

I know your discussion is about Blizzard, but I just have to tell you how awesome these games are. Also, with a lot of your comments about how Nintendo abandons their old franchises for new 3D stuff… Fire Emblem and Advance Wars have been going strong for a LONG time. Same with Pokemon. 🙂

I was never able to get into Fire Emblem or Advance Wars. Apparently, I wasn’t the only one since no one buys these games in the United States. The reason why I wasn’t able to get into them was probably because of my experience with the PC games. Advance Wars seems so simple, toy-like, compared to a game like Civilization. PC strategy games also have an open world style which is what I expect for strategy games. Eastern strategy games never open up the world. I always feel like I’m playing with my hands tied in these games. It isn’t fun.

I’m still playing games like Master of Orion or Master of Magic because there is no modern alternative to them. I’ve tried Sins of the Solar Empire, Galactic Civlizations, and all. They just aren’t fun. I would love to see someone like Blizzard tackle these games because everyone else seems to be failing with them… and I know it isn’t because of lack of demand.
