I Just took a look at the first Battle Quest video that’s in Nintendoland. Take a look for youself:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hQ9UvvreNdM&

Faster combat than Skyward Sword so that’s good. I like the fact that everyone has to share the same lifebar and there is also the fact that the Dark World theme is being used in it. It just looks a bit to easy though that could be Nintendo’s fault for only letting people play world 1-1 again.

It does look fun.

My dream has always been to have an RPG experience with something like above. It would be awesome if you could upgrade your sword to a better sword. Or upgrade your shield to a better shield that can stop fireballs. And maybe an even better shield that can reflect beams.

“What nonsense are you talking about? This is Zelda!”

Indeed. Zelda games are RPGs where you did upgrade your swords and shields in the manner I described above. It may not be as intensive as a rpg, but it was there. And it was cool!

Miyamoto once defined Zelda as the ‘feeling of growth’. That is why it is fun to upgrade stuff, save rupees and buy/find better stuff.
