This makes me want to buy NSMB 2. But the 3DS is such a hostile platform to me. Every game is trying to 3d, and I feel that by not using 3d I am crippling the product.

What else would there be for me to buy on the 3DS? 3d land? No. Ocarina of Time 3D? I passed it up when it came out on the N64, I will pass it here. Mario Kart 7? I hate the rubber band AI. I really liked Super Mario Kart in how you could out-drive the computer by a large margin. The cheating AI kills the game in my opinion.

The only thing that appeals to me are the E-Shop games. But those are tied to the hardware. So meh to that.

I think I’ll wait for the 3DS successor and download NSMB 2 the first thing.

Why doesn’t Nintendo port NSMB 2 to the Wii U? Wii U has two screens and can play all these games. Think of it as a ‘Super Gameboy’!
