If people don&#8217;t have strong ideas or strong passion, it is fine for a series like Metroid or Zelda to take a break for a generation. In their place should be new games that do the same job.</p>
<p>If Nintendo said, &#8220;Metroid is going to take a break this generation. We don&#8217;t know where to go with it next,&#8221; people would be very sad. However, they would not be sad if Nintendo then said, &#8220;Even though Metroid is going on a break, we are going to make 2d Metroid-like game that is entirely a new IP.&#8221;</p>
<p>It&#8217;s not the games we want. but the jobs those games do.</p>
