The hardcore/casual slang was invented by people who had no idea what the hell was going on with the Wii sales. It is similar to the mature/kiddie slang invented in the sixth generation. I imagine in the Eighth Generation, they might do an Enlightened/Ignorant or Sophisticated/Crude or Technological/Dumbed Down terminology. It&#8217;s all BS and is not actual market analysis.</p>
<p>Gaming Message Forum analysis is like fast food. It&#8217;s really disgusting and distorts the body.</p>
<p>Every time I hear the self declared &#8216;hardcore gamer&#8217; preach on the gaming message forum about how the casuals behave, I&#8217;m reminded of that poet who jokes of the virgin telling us how women think.</p>
<p>However, this is not an analogy. Most of the so-called &#8216;casual gamers&#8217; are women. And the so-called hardcore gamer is&#8230;</p>
