However, it would seem that the PS360 version of the game doesn’t have any form of local multiplayer at all, so at least the WiiU version doesn’t have any functionality removed.

Still, the game looks like fun. Arcade racers not named Mario Kart have sorely been missing on Nintendo consoles. It might be why people keep desiring a new F-Zero even though no one buys F-Zero. People just want to see an excellent arcade racer that isn’t Mario Kart. Give me Burnout or Rock-N-Roll Racing or R.C. Pro-Am anyday.
