Síntese – Grupo de Música Contemporânea is an open and modular chamber music group, aimed at the creation of new music. It has commissioned and premiered almost thirty works from portuguese composers from different generations and aesthetical approaches.

Síntese – Grupo de Música Contemporânea began in 2006, when the first edition of Síntese – Contemporary Music Cycle of Guarda took place. Since then, it has organized twelve editions of this cycle.
