A sometimes heard AGW talking point is that we need to start terraforming Mars, for habitation after Earth becomes unlivable due to CO2.

The idea is that it will be easier to live on a incredibly cold, dry planet with 95% CO2 – than on Earth with 0.05% CO2. Apparently a tiny increase in CO2 on Earth will destroy life as we know it, but it will be no problem adapting a hostile planet with 2000 times as much CO2.

These highly rational people are the same ones want to control every aspect of our lives.
