It is quite clear that periods of colder weather produce more violent tornadoes. The worst outbreak was in 1974, the peak year of the “Ice Age Scare.”  Another big tornado year (not shown) was the La Niña year of 2008, which had very cold spring temperatures.

Tornadoes form when cold air collides with warm humid air. A warming Arctic should result in less extreme weather, not more. The opposite of what is constantly being claimed by some “experts.”
