<p>They show a warming trend of about 0.05C / year with an <a href="http://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/IOTD/view.php?id=8239">error bar about 3 times higher than their claimed trend</a>.</p>

<p style="padding-left:30px;"><em>The team checked the satellite records against ground-based weather station data to inter-calibrate them and make the 26-year satellite record. The scientists estimate the level of <strong>uncertainty in the measurements is between 2-3 degrees Celsius</strong>.</em></p>
<p>In other words, Antarctica could actually be cooling, but someone just wanted a red map.</p>
<p>In fact, <a href="http://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/IOTD/view.php?id=6502">NASA used to show Antarctica cooling</a>. Apparently someone didn&#8217;t like that blue colour so much.</p>

<p>Meanwhile back in the real world, <a href="http://vortex.nsstc.uah.edu/data/msu/t2lt/uahncdc.lt">UAH shows that Antarctica is cooling</a> at a rate of almost 1C / century.</p>
