<p>I unfortunately had to drive to Denver today, and on the way back accidentally turned on NPR.</p>
<p>Bill McKibben was talking about global warming and how conservatives were blocking it. I don&#8217;t have an exact quote, but he said something to the effect of &#8220;<strong><em>all atmospheric physicists and chemists agree.</em></strong>&#8221; Then he stated that there is &#8220;<strong><em>nothing conservative about doubling CO2. It is the biggest experiment ever performed</em>&#8220;</strong> and finally:</p>
<p>&#8220;<em>The sooner that conservatives are willing to accept the science, the  reality, the sooner we can get to work with their very important help in  figuring out what set of prescriptions, what combination of market and  regulation will be required in order to deal with <strong>the most serious  problem we&#8217;ve ever stumbled into</strong>.</em>&#8220;</p>
