<p>Actually, we don&#8217;t have any large fires in Colorado, it is pouring rain here. We had fires over the last few weeks which burned several hundred houses &#8211; that were built in places that naturally burn every 20-30 years. The fires were small compared to historical fires like the one in 1898.</p>
<p>Tornadoes happen everywhere east of the Rockies.</p>
<p>On January 10, 1911  &#8211; the temperature dropped 49 degrees in 15 minutes in Rapid City, South Dakota. That is what happens when a cold air mass moves in.</p>
