<![CDATA[Disturbing Imagery Of The Extreme Drought In Fort Collins, Colorado]]>I’m just back from a bike ride up in the mountains and took a couple of pictures along the way.  Fort Collins is listed by the US Drought Monitor as being on the border between severe and extreme drought.

The picture below is my UHI measurement location. On a still clear night, temperatures are typically 5-10F cooler near the fire station on the right, than they are at the Safeway parking lot across the intersection (traffic light is inside the red circle.)
