I will pay them &#8211; under protest &#8211; because the passive microwave measurements are missing a lot of ice this summer.</p>
<p>Their maps don&#8217;t show any real change for almost a week, yet the graphs continue to show a sharp decline. It all looks like male bovine excrement to me.</p>
<p>The most annoying bet I ever lost was when Joe Paterno took an intentional safety in the last two minutes of the 1977 Fiesta Bowl, and cost me the spread I had given against my alma mater ASU.</p>
