<ol>
<li><span style="line-height:16px;">Someone they consider to be an authority told them that it is OK to kill</span></li>
<li>They are in fear for their safety</li>
<li>They are in a deranged mental state</li>
</ol>
<p>Government needs to focus on reducing these three factors, rather than mindlessly destroying the US Constitution.</p>
<p>Lanza and Holmes were likely a combination of #1 and #3, but we will probably never know.</p>
