Team climate moron tells us that global warming produces stronger storms, because “there is more energy in the system.” The level of stupidity behind that remark defies explanation.

Consider a battery. It does nothing until the positive and negative terminals are connected.  It is the difference in energy which drives electricity flow.

Consider a high pressure system. There is little wind, until a low pressure system comes nearby. It is the difference in pressure which drives the wind.

Tornadoes occur in the spring, because warm wet air comes in contact with cold dry air. It is the difference in energy and humidity which drives the tornado.

Tropical Storm Sandy was so large, because it intersected with very cold Arctic air. It was the difference in energy which drove the storm.

Venus is uniformly hot, and has no storms and almost no wind. There are no energy differences on the surface of Venus.

Bottom line is that global warming should produce less severe weather, because of polar amplification  The difference in energy between the poles and the equator is reduced.
