It’s like some kind of bizarre comedy-script, except it’s deadly serious.
The People’s Soviet of RyersonU has invited noted racist & anti-semite to deliver some hate-speech or other to tickle the radical fancy of the faculty and staff who like to play with that sort of thing. Yes, RyersonU– the selfsame free-speech stalwarts who spoke back against that hatemongering mastermind and menace Mark Steyn in that Open Forum a while back. Last bastion against tyranny, that sort of thing.
The object in question is one Malik Zulu Shabazz— founder of the New Black Panthers, and an African-American fellow prone to say– well– just about any old thing, as long as it’s over-the-top, fascistic and hateful. His views are pretty much common fare in the various Middle-Eastern Islamocracies out there, and his words would fit in the mouth of Adolf Hitler (except that Hitlerite racism also condemned those of African origins). A sample of the remarkable ruminations of Mr. Shabazz:

Thankfully, this highly objectionable individual has been blocked from coming to Canada before, but the RyersonU Soviet persist, and imagine their desire to have Mr. Shabazz come and speak is– in fact– the highest form of admiration for free speech. Sorry kids: it’s hate, and he’s also an American. You’ll just have to find your own Canadian hyper-racist anti-semite Islamo-totalitarian conpiracy-theorist to speak at the Party Congress.
What on earth is happening at our 21st century Canadian Universities? What fundamental collapse of basic human nature 
and common sense 101 has been flunked to allow such moral inversion where Mark Steyn is evil incarnate, and Comrade Malik Zulu Shabazz is a tittilating speaker? Feh! The one is gold, the other plutonium, and it’s a feckwitted fool who can’t distinguish– dare we say discriminate– between the two. The devolution is far advanced in Canada: we’ve been warned.
Sadly for the rest of us, the excesses of reality is quickly outstripping any possible irony or sarcasm– it’s just getting to hard to keep up on this slippery slope!
