~ SURE I LIKE THE ‘romantic’ view of pirates.. not the whole rapine, murder, jolly rogering, and sea-going gangland thing so much. Strictly speaking, I guess Binky is more like a Privateer than a proper outlaw: honourable, nobel, good, but dangerous to foes and fools.
Sadly, it is apparent that the Obama Administration is nothing other and different than a massive coordinated pirate raid on the American government and people by the creeps, criminals, and corruptocrats of the Democrat and Republican collaborators. They need prison, not plunder; and shame, not credit for what they are doing.
Mid-level evil and theft by Pelosi and Co. has been going on for decades (check Pelosi & StarKist tuna gig via Google), and it’s part of every government, and human nature. What’s new is that the POTUS is a professional shyster and plunder expert via ACORN and his Ayer time in Chi-Town education scamming. What’s also new is that the pirates of the congress, senate, and wider government have grown bolder, and can’t be bothered to ever pretend to secrecy or wink-wink straight faces while looting the public and stuffing their own pockets.
Someone like Mass-Dem Barney Frank is leading the entitled & invulnerable pack, and laughing in American’s face. His fingerprints are everywhere, and on every democrat-caused disaster from Fannie Mae & the Mortgage crisis, to the Stimulapalooza, and pushing for the Pirate Lord Obama as POTUS. Never missing a chance to profit and do what he wills, Frank is cause, symptom, and exemplar of the rot in DC, and the cynicism and/ or idiocy of Massachusetts voters. Mind you, they elected generations of the Kennedy Crime family to local, state, and federal office, so it’s in the tradition.
Ultimately, the full tale of this pirate adventure will be told; what remains to be seen is if there are enough awake voters with spine and elected representatives with relatively untarnished hands to reform and renew the zombie/ pirate culture of the American ruling classes, and put the mutinous and piratical Obama, Pelosi, Frank, Dodd, ACORN bosses, and all the rest where they belong: in a pauper’s prison, after complete public exposé and proper indictments. Take names, kick ass, ignore party affiliation, let the chips fall where they may. Yes, it may mean time, money, less hours in front of the flatscreen– but that’s a feature, not a bug.
And to quote the noted cultural philosopher Michael Jackson, “It don’t matter if you’re black or white”. Race-carding scumbags like Obama and Conyers and company get no free pass merely because they aren’t honkies, or because their ancestors were enslaved. In fact, such characters give aspiring Americans of all colours a bad name for using their new privileges to engage in such open criminality, special rules, and abuse of power.
Is this really what your slain secular saint MLKing, Jr. had a dream about: that black politicians might one day be just as despicable and greedy as whites? Really?!? What would abolitionist figures like Frederick Douglass (1818-1895) have to say about these shameful antics?
Pirates of the Caribbean is a Disney fun-ride, become a not-bad set of movies– yet not any way to run a nation.

~ NOT TO INSULT MY BOOMER READERS (heck, Teh Binks was born in the last possible year of that group, so am technically one), but when you look at some of what’s happening with debt in North America, it’s a nasty generational thing. Maybe a war, even.
The Most Self-Important Generation Ever, those wondrous post-war emperors and empresses, are entitled. Utter freedom with no consequences; every pleasure, forbidden or not; every goodie, privilege, no expense spared, best health care ever, richest safest most entertained and comfortable society in all of human history– why, it’s not the result of thousands of years of suffering and effort and making a better world for the next generation, it’s all about giving the greatest people ever the treatment they deserve!
How else can you explain all the U.S. great-grandfathering of impossible debt with imaginary dollars against future generations? TARP, CAP-N-Trade, Monster Budgets, Socialist Health Care? It’s economic violence and rapine on a generational scale.
A lot of spoiled Boomers have tried to remake reality into their own image– so ruining the church, working hard to disassemble the family, education, gender & parenthood, freedom, and the viability of Western Civ itself, all because they are entitled, so smart, and simply amazing. Consequences be darned– we’re the best that ever was!
So Boomer Barack, Boomer Dubya, Boomer Clinton, Boomer Blair, have helped their fellow generational cohort to suck the marrow out of the built up civilizational moral, spiritual, and material capital received from our forefathers as if there was no yesterday nor any tomorrow, leaving a desert in their wake for others to clean up and rebuild. Wasn’t that a party?
After all, “What tomorrow?” Once the 45-64 year old Boomers pass– having drained social security, pensions, health care, and left the wreckage behind them– sub-Boomers hardly deserve to be worried about, do they? Indeed, Western Boomers also prevented and aborted the largest number of babies ever, in part to enhance ther personal and material comfort. Millions dead, for the higher purpose.
We’ve all been in a giant generation-war with a Boomer-wave of over-indulged narcissists for years now– and as they age, we’re getting the regurgitation of their youth-culture yet again. I liked the 60’s and 70s and 80s.. but endlessly remaking all the TV and movies and music? Gack! Have the rising generations since the mid-sixties NOTHING unique or interesting to say of their own? Will nobody except Boomers and their younger Mini-Me clones have a say in politics and the media and pop-culture?
What’s also interesting is that the battle in the U.S. is now increasingly between Boomers and Boomers, as Boomers Dubya and Obama wiped out a lot of nest eggs, and current Dem schemes will be taxing and stealing from everybody in sight– Boomers as well as future generations. Not so pleasant when the theft hits home today, huh?
It’s not too late, O fellow Boomers. I’ve devoted much of my adult life to giving back from what I’ve received, and building up and passing on and trying to leave things better than I found them. Perhaps in our remaining years, we can turn again to rebuild and restore some of what we’ve selfishly consumed and laid waste to, realizing that we are not kings and queens, but ordinary mortals with an accountability to the past, present, and future, above and beyond our precious self-esteem and pleasures and inwardness, and our earthly comforts and treasures.
