Flipper Example
There may be some worth to this concept of a ‘flipper’ tied in at the sides or slightly below the tube. I would hesitate to affix the flippers to the top of the fly so as to not disprupt the qualities of the wing material. The beauty of Temple Dog, Arctic Fox and Krystal Flash can be enhanced with this simple exciter component. This is definitely worth a try on streamers and steelhead/salmon patterns.
