<![CDATA[Drifter Fly Pattern (Staggered Wing)]]>I found an image of the Drifter fly pattern on a Flies for Sale UK site. I like the staggered wing look and the curved body (emerger). This would be a nice buoyant pattern. The wing is similar in design, but on a smaller scale to the Mikulak Sedge (traveling sedge) pattern. I did not find this pattern depicted in many sites but it appears to be suggested as a stillwater pattern. The staggered wing is unique and may offer advantages over the standard elk or deer hair single clump wing. Worth a try on a smaller pattern such as the Drifter. And, it could be a good stream pattern as well.
