A still functioning motorcycle tire & wheel shop in a neighborhood (near my workplace) that use to challenge your presence and safety just a generation ago. The shop windows are bordered up and the cyclone fencing covers the plywood. The message behind caught my eye as I drove by. Long faded from a southern exposure, the image fenced in, brought my camera to hand…symbolism or something came to mind.
Gentrification and an infusion of a seeming leisure class of ever present hispters forced most of the thug life element to at least not shoot up the street on which this shop and my workplace set. The cyclone fence coverings over the windows is a sign of the recent past.
