<![CDATA[Tahquitz Canyon Hike (California)]]>The Tahquitz Canyon hike is satisfying in that you quickly leave any sense of civilization, once leaving the visitor’s center. The rugged terrain surrounds a not too difficult journey. In that short distance (1 miles in to falls/350′ elevation gain) you enter a historical canyon (Cahuilla Indians) area that has a diverse habitat. Rock formations, foliage, the stream and vistas combine for a condensed experience. (more history)
