I&#8217;ve been playing with my Cricut and the SCAL software again and made this fun card. I used Harold&#8217;s Pips dingbat font to cut the bird and a scallop circle by Jose and my Trusty Cricut+SCAL to make this. If you don&#8217;t have a Cricut don&#8217;t worry. It&#8217;s simple to make with traditional supplies too. Fold a 6&#8243;x12&#8243; piece of card stock in half. Draw a 5 1/2&#8243; circle on the folded square making sure to overlap the circle on the folded edge so the circles will connect to make a card. Cut on the outside of the line with scalloped scissors. Cut a 5 1/4&#8243; circle from card stock and hand cut a shape in the middle to make a window. Stamp if desired. Fill a small ziplock bag with a SMALL amount of hair gel and glitter. Seal the bag and tape it behind the window. use foam squares to attach the window panel to the card. Optional: use a fine tip glue applicator to trace your stamped design and sprinkle with glitter, don&#8217;t waste your $$ on a glue pad, make your own with a cosmetic foam applicator and white glue and store it in a small plastic container ( a makeup compact would work great and would fit the round foam applicator perfectly!) Also I use a small circle hole punch to add holes in the scallops.</p>

<p>Now for a nice pot of tea! We received this lovely tea pot for our wedding 8 years ago and it has never been out of the box until today. When I was picking salad greens I noticed renegade mint popping out from the bricks of our garden bed (we pulled it up this spring cuz it was taking over!) I picked it and the kiddos and I made this tea to go with dinner, hubby likes mint tea! Here&#8217;s what to do: Gather several hand-fulls of mint leaves and tear, pinch and crush them to release the oil. Put in tea leave chamber of a tea pot. Add lemon, lime or orange zest. Pour boiling water into the pot and let it steep for 20 minutes. You can also tie up the ingredients in a piece of cheesecloth and simmer on the stove. Your house will smell so nice! I like mint and lime zest with lime wedges, its like a warm cozy mojitto!<a href="https://thefrugalcrafter.files.wordpress.com/2008/08/minttea.jpg"><img loading="lazy" data-attachment-id="124" data-permalink="https://thefrugalcrafter.wordpress.com/2008/08/08/a-sparkley-card-and-a-pot-of-tea/minttea/" data-orig-file="https://thefrugalcrafter.files.wordpress.com/2008/08/minttea.jpg" data-orig-size="596,441" data-comments-opened="1" data-image-meta="{&quot;aperture&quot;:&quot;2.6&quot;,&quot;credit&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;camera&quot;:&quot;Canon PowerShot A540&quot;,&quot;caption&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;created_timestamp&quot;:&quot;1218127337&quot;,&quot;copyright&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;focal_length&quot;:&quot;5.8&quot;,&quot;iso&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;shutter_speed&quot;:&quot;0.016666666666667&quot;,&quot;title&quot;:&quot;&quot;}" data-image-title="minttea" data-image-description="" data-medium-file="https://thefrugalcrafter.files.wordpress.com/2008/08/minttea.jpg?w=300" data-large-file="https://thefrugalcrafter.files.wordpress.com/2008/08/minttea.jpg?w=596" src="https://thefrugalcrafter.files.wordpress.com/2008/08/minttea.jpg?w=300&#038;h=221" alt="" width="300" height="221" class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-124" srcset="https://thefrugalcrafter.files.wordpress.com/2008/08/minttea.jpg?w=300&amp;h=221 300w, https://thefrugalcrafter.files.wordpress.com/2008/08/minttea.jpg?w=150&amp;h=111 150w, https://thefrugalcrafter.files.wordpress.com/2008/08/minttea.jpg 596w" sizes="(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px" /></a></p>
