<![CDATA[What can you do with a Crop-A-Dial?]]>I love gadgets, especially if they do more than one thing! If you haven’t tried the crop-a-dial before you are in for a treat. I received my original CAD as a gift, I never thought I would want one since I had a Provo Craft silent setter and was happy with that plus I had the old fashioned hammer type too for the hard to set eyelets. But this make setting eyelets and snaps, well, a snap! But look at what else you can do:

Here are some necklaces I made by punching holes in Formica samples from the hardware store:

You can also emboss with it! First draw a grid on your paper if you want. or you can do it freehand. Next line the paper up under where you would set the eyelet then squeeze! That’s all there is to it! If you are using the “Big Bite” the bump will be in the top of your paper and the dent will be on the bottom so if you want to use a grid but have the bumps on the unmarked side of your paper you will need to use the Crop-A-Dial upside down. Practice on a scrap piece of paper first to see what side the bump is on. You can emboss pretty borders with the original CAD too just don’t squeeze to hard or it will punch right through your paper!
