I was listening and dancing to some of that good stuff by Taylor Swift while I type this.

I spend a lot of my time speaking with random people and my nearby neighbors about why people are so upset with what happened to President Obama and his beautiful wife, Michelle Obama, during their time in the White House.

I actually have a list of all the names that Michelle was called. That must have really hurt President Obama and his children to see how horribly people in our country were willing to treat a minority woman who was a respectful, knowledgeable, and conservative role model.  Imagine being one of those two young African American girls growing up watching this.

On a large scale, we showed those girls that they were not worthy of blessings, whether they were educated or not, nice or not, and dignified or not.

It didn’t matter.

We did our entire country, the United States of America, a complete disservice by behaving this way. I know those girls are blessed because I blessed them myself when I prayed for them.

With Chelsea Clinton, we had similar degradation by openly bullying her. That means we, as grown men and women, were bullying a child. We should be ashamed.

It’s important in this time that we lead from a calm and gathered mind by becoming more kind, peaceable and forgiving. Pray for each other’s families making certain not to impose intentional cruelty through abuse and tomfoolery. There is not enough money in the world that can replace one of us.

We all want to continue on with life as usual, and politics as usual, but the world has changed. That means we will have no choice but to evolve and change too.

Kindness will sustain us, whereas hate will destroy us. For this reason, I am sending up prayers for the Obamas and I ask that people do the same for the world.
