those were simpler times

times when you could love

then technology did not rule

when you still feared the god above

human contact meant more

as did a walk in the park

there was still some clean air

you did not have to wear a mask

……………………………………………………

the lovely cars and trains

all are here on display

but more important than that

were the people, happy and gay
