Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, the prologue to The Phantom Pain, appeared earlier this year and its performance figures were all over the place. The PS4 edition reigned supreme thanks to a 1080p resolution and a 60fps framerate, while the Xbox One edition lagged behind, with a native resolution of just 720p and a 60fps framerate.

It seems that for the full-fledged The Phantom Pain, developer Kojima Productions and publisher Konami aren’t making sacrifices and have retained the 1080p and 60fps performance figures on the PS4.

This is at least according to a Reddit user who attended the Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain demo at E3 2014 and squeezed out some details from the Konami staff so take this information with a grain of salt.

The game was shown in real time and there were no frame drops, resulting in a smooth and high-quality experience, perfect to show off the visuals in the Fox Engine hopefully Ground Zeroes was just a taste of what Phantom Pain has in store for us.

As of yet, however, The Phantom Pain has no release date, besides the joke one established by Konami as 1984.
