– Xabi Alonso still has a special bond with Anfield and said: “I still see and speak with all the Spanish boys at Liverpool, but I also speak with others there. I am in regular contact with Stevie Gerrard and Jamie Carragher. I spent a lot of time at Liverpool and in those two I have made friends for life.”

– Zidane’s dream is to one day manage Real Madrid.

– Granero got his nickname “El Pirata” from a commentator on Realmadrid TV.  One day, this commentator asked him to celebrate a goal by covering an eye, and Esteban has celebrated like that ever since.  We also find out that he would like Madrid to always have confidence in their youth players (I hope some director from Madrid is listening).

– And finally, Pipita was at AS – it seemed like a pretty boring interview – too much talk about football and not enough about his life!   The only part that was semi-interesting was when they were talking about Kaká, and someone mentioned that Kaká got married at an early age, something that is highly valued in the Bernabéu.  So Pipita jokes that they’re saying that if he’s not married by the time he’s 25, Real Madrid will sell him.
