These photos are floating around various Real Madrid fan sites, and they appear to be from a photo session in late February, although we haven’t seen the final product yet.  Any guesses on what these photos were for?

After taking a look, my conclusion is that while our boys are extremely adorable, they really don’t know how to pose.  Oh well, that just makes for more eye candy for us, because only they can bring this adorable awkwardness.  See for yourself:

Albiol:  the staring off into space is a nice touch (gives a dreamy quality to the photo), but the strange placement of the hand and its position are distracting, and also a bit Dr. Evil.

Higuaín:  his smile looks a bit awkward no?  It’s kind of between a fake smile and a real smile; I think he just wasn’t ready for the photo to be taken.

Benzema:  oh Karim, such a badass.  But a cheesy badass, starting with that expression.  At least he’s not pointing to anything or giving anything the thumbs up.

Lass:  not too bad, but then again, this doesn’t look much like a pose, he just faced the camera and the photographer snapped and it was all over.

As for the group picture, they sort of succeed in looking tough but then again I don’t know what the objective was.  If I had to guess, I would say they’re going to be Real Madrid’s superheroes – they’re going to be immortalized in a comic fighting crime/Barça (same thing) and bringing madridismo to the whole world.

In any case,  Xabi could teach them a thing or two.
