Today, we have Marcelo doing the same (the caption says that he didn’t want to touch the cup since it’s bad luck to touch the cup before winning it). Marca also declares Saturday’s game to be the “game of the millennium.” I guess that next 990 years won’t be too exciting then. And if you’re a culé, then a certain game last year would probably be your choice.

Anyway, AS, not to be outdone, did the same with Pipita.

New poses and props are definitely needed. Or just do away with all of that and just have the players pose with NO props and NO shirts. Sounds good, no?

But I doubt that will happen, so I will start taking bets on who Marca and AS will torture into posing like this for Friday and Saturday’s editions.

PS – both interviews were excessively football-related and of course Pipita was asked if he gets along with Cristiano. I don’t need to tell you what his answer was, right?

PPS – not related, but I just wanted to say congrats to Wesley Sneijder and Arjen Robben, who just sent their teams through to the next round of the Champions League. If I were them, I would be laughing at Madrid. I guess I’m missing them just as Fernando Torres is missing Arbeloa and “motor” Xabi.
