<p>However, the more important news related to this for me is that, <a href="http://www.as.com/futbol/articulo/madrid-tiene-camiseta-temporada-2010/dasftb/20100430dasdaiftb_34/Tes">according to AS</a>, Iker, yes Iker, participated in the design of the goalkeepers&#8217; shirts, given that Iker is very well-known for his, um, good sartorial taste.</p>
<p>The article says the shirts will have a retro touch, and the colors will be dark green and dark blue, a la Arconada (so basically, like the retro jersey he already wears with <em>la selección</em> &#8211; not much originality there?).</p>
<p>Anyway, let&#8217;s all imagine what other touches Iker will bring to the goalkeepers&#8217; uniforms:</p>
<p>&#8211; will the dark blue actually be -gasp- <a href="https://unamadridista.wordpress.com/2009/08/28/iker-fashion-disaster-ii/">denim</a>?</p>
<p>&#8211; will the shirt sleeves and bottom of the shirt already <a href="https://unamadridista.wordpress.com/2010/01/11/and-the-award-for-bravery-goes-to/">be cut</a>?</p>
<p>&#8211; will each shirt have &#8220;matching&#8221; shorts of one shade lighter a la the <a href="https://unamadridista.wordpress.com/2010/02/14/who-is-responsible-for-this-mess/">orange monstrosity</a>?</p>
<p>&#8211; will you get a free pair of <a href="https://unamadridista.wordpress.com/2010/04/21/a-match-made-in-shoe-heaven/">big white sneakers</a> if you buy a replica shirt?</p>
<p>&#8211; will there be <a href="https://unamadridista.wordpress.com/2010/02/04/ikers-mad-for-plaid/">plaid</a> anywhere on the shirt?</p>
<p>&#8211; how about an attached <a href="https://unamadridista.wordpress.com/2010/01/23/haiti-the-superficial-stuff/">scarf</a>?</p>
<p>&#8211; or a secret pocket to stash a picture of his <a href="https://unamadridista.wordpress.com/2010/03/16/does-iker-casillas-have-a-type/">true love</a> (or hopefully, a beard trimmer?  Or even a megaphone &#8211; useful for <a href="https://unamadridista.wordpress.com/2010/04/26/in-case-you-missed-it-the-cara-y-cruz-edition/">yelling at his teammates</a> without losing his voice.)</p>
<p>Poor Jerzy, if he stays another year, and whoever will be the third goalkeeper.</p>
<p>My only request for this new goalkeeper shirt is that Adidas makes it out of a very itchy and scratchy material, so that Iker will feel compelled to remove it.  At all times.</p>
