Earlier today, Álvaro Arbeloa tweeted a photo (the tweet has since been deleted).  It showed a pair of “3D boxers” from Cibeles Fashion Week (now known as Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid, but most people still call it by its old name).  He also felt the need to tell us, “they’re not mine!  I’m accepting bets though.”  Then came this photo of someone actually modeling the boxers.

Shortly after, Sergio tweeted, “with respect to the photo tweeted by Arbeloa, I leave two hints.  1.  It is possible that it came in the pack along with the Lamborghini.  2.  It wasn’t Lass.”   That was followed up with this tweet: “no more doubts.  Although it appears to be a lie, the Spartan @aarbeloa17 wore these underpants today.  A bit bold.”

In response, Álvaro tweeted, “with friends like these, who needs enemies?  I’m not going to leave my mobile phone unlocked anymore!”

I wonder who they belong to?  Cris is a sure bet, but that would be too easy, no?  The biggest surprise would be if they belonged to say… Xabi Alonso or Esteban Granero.  Or Rafa Varane.  And did someone take over Alvarito’s phone to tweet the second photo?  Who do you think the model is?

And a note to these guys: next time, a photo of one of you in boxers (or preferably, all of you) would be a perfect Valentine’s Day gift for all of us girls, single or attached, so think about it.

(Or perhaps this was one player’s Valentine’s Day surprise for his significant other.  If that’s true, she has my sympathies.)
