<![CDATA[¡champiñones champiñones, oé, oé, oé!]]>On Sunday, Castilla became champions of their group, Group I, in the Second Division B despite losing to Oviedo 0-1, as their closest rivals Lugo lost to Rayo Vallecano B.  The last time Castilla sang the alirón was seven years ago, in the 2004-05 season.  That season, Castilla also managed to ascend to the second division; hopefully the boys can achieve that again this year!  There are three games left to play before the playoffs begin.

The celebration was epic.

Here are a few pointers I hope the first team picks up on.

ONE.  Get as naked as possible.  Celebrate in your underwear.  Mesut obviously got that memo so gracias Mesut, but the brighter the better, like Jorge Casado and his red undies.

TWO.  Iker needs to dance with the captain’s armband like Juanfran is doing here.  However, the most important part is that he is shirtless, and does not cover himself up.

TWO A.  Goalkeepers needs to strip more often.  Who knew that Isaac was hiding that body under his green jersey?  (By the way, why are the goalkeepers still wearing last season’s jerseys?)

THREE.  Coordinated celebrations in the locker room are always, always welcome.

FOUR.  Create adorable moments by celebrating with your platonic love.

FIVE.  Celebrate in your underwear (sorry, I can’t stress that enough).  The moment on the right was when they began singing “¡champiñones, champiñones, oé, oé, oé!”.

SIX.  Single file celebrations, so everyone can be front and center!  Remember Pepe blocking Esteban and José?

SEVEN.  Throw everyone in the shower!  However, I will understand if the players refrain from doing this to Mou, because they are too frightened of the consequences.  Can you imagine the look on Mou’s face though?

Anyway, the boys hustled, transported or carried Juan Tapiador (head of press), Juan Canales (goalkeeping coach), Vicente Díaz (as they sang, “Vicente, a la piscina, a la piscina” (Vicente, to the swimming pool) to their delegate; he’s been with the club for more than 30 years so he’s seen all the canteranos grow up, check out how he looked after this celebration), Alberto Gómez (doctor) and of course Alberto Toril.  Jorge Casado was able to lift up and carry Alberto all by himself!
