Yesterday was the first day of fall. Abby had a friend over for a game of dominos, dessert and Family Home Evening. I made our favorite apple cake. It isn’t much to look at but it really is delicious. The batter is thick with very little moisture until you add six shredded apples. It bakes into a very moist cake. Topped with a warm butter/cream sauce it is fantastic. I always think of my friend Jan Cassinat from CA for this great recipe. Last year for a stake activity I made it and had dozens of people ask for the recipe. This cake is one of the great tastes of fall!
