12 And now, verily, verily, I say unto thee, put your trust in that Spirit
which leadeth to do good—yea, to do justly, to walk humbly, to judge
righteously; and this is my Spirit.
I am being sharper in my judgements, I noted it yesterday after my
Sacrament meeting talk, wherein I wasn’t given enough time to get across my
message.
But the “walk humbly” part of the above is about the fact that I did not
help the Bishopric prepare effectively for the meeting.
It is challenging to judge righteously. It is a tall order that God gives
us, and yet to be Christlike as we do so, to know and see he truth, and yet
be humble in doing so. That is not easy.

That is a very powerful sword. Why that metaphor for power? The Lord could
have used others.
His word is powerful because it is truth. But it is more than that. I told
someone this week who was passionately arguing a point and was dissapointed
when his view wasn’t accepted that having one’s view accepted required more
than just being right.
God also knows how to deliever his message. At times it is very powerfully,
but a sword can be used delicately too, very delicately if required.
Why two edged? Because it cuts both ways in some manner? How? And why
joints and marrow? I don’t have answers to those questions.

A GREAT and marvelous work is about to come forth among the children of
men.
This phrase starts many sections. [Do] I …believe it was only applicable to
the time when it was first given.
God is an optimist. He knows all. He sees great and marvelous things in the
smallest of events.
I should be that way too.
