<![CDATA[Teacher Laptop Initiative – how do I get a teacher laptop?]]>Q1.  Who is eligible to take the laptop course, where you receive a laptop for professional usage?
A1.  All certified staff, including nurses.  Also included are all school and district adminstrators – and most recently, we’ve opened access to supervisor/specialists who are salaried employees.

Q2.  Will hourly employees be eligible to receive a laptop?
A2.  No.

Q3. How often are the classes available? and where are they listed?

Q4.  I’m new to the district, how do I get one of the teacher laptops?
A4.  Sign up for the teacher laptop course –  It’s a 15 hour professional development course where you’ll receive 1 credit hour towards license renewal – and you’ll receive a laptop, carry case, mouse, and flash drive.  The laptop will enable you to remotely access your network drives from home!  Classes are listed on the district’s professional development web site.
