Earlier this week, teachers at Westridge Elementary gathered for “Appy Hour” prior to school to share their favorite apps. The credit for the concept goes to librarian Kathy Kaldenberg, of Solon, Iowa, who first served up Appy Hour to her staff as a way to share favorite apps. Her work was work was recently featured in the School Library Journal, titled Librarian serves up ‘Appy Hour’. The idea has spread from school to school and district to district, even making it’s way to West Des Moines.
