We all have a race and heritage, and within that race and heritage we have a culture. Many different terms are used for our cultures. Western or eastern culture. Arab culture or Jewish culture. The Asian art museum displays Asian culture and Europeans have white or European culture just as Africans have black culture.

None of this was debated or even controversial until the last decade when the radical Left began to more openly embrace anti white political stances. Suddenly white people weren’t allowed to have culture or, if they were, it could only be as a joke about trailer trash, inbreeding, bland food and bad dancing.

When I got on Twitter a few years back I noticed how the hashtag #WhiteCulture was being used to say horrific things about white people.

So I decided to reclaim the hashtag and to put up beautiful images of white, European art, inventors, families, food, etc. This, of course received immediate backlash as somehow being racist, even though I never claimed white people were superior to anyone. I never promoted any hate or violence I simply put up lovely images of white, European culture from all around the world and urged other white Europeans to discover their ancestry and roots.

I was pleasantly surprised when I learned that other people also took up the cause and it spread across Twitter like wild fire. People were posting all sorts of lovely, white European things like architecture, operas, philosophy and more!

As the Twitter bullying from the Left increased I included in my bio the fact that #WhiteCulture was about heritage and not hate but it didn’t matter to those heck bent on smearing me, lying about me and flaming white people online. It didn’t matter how many racially inclusive tweets I sent, they still falsely branded me a racist. Then, in March, when I wrote about my concerns about rap music and ghetto culture being promoted in the Mormon community I was branded racist for not liking thug, gang culture.

I became a target of Leftist agitators within the Mormon church who were determined to equate the hashtag #WhiteCulture with white supremacy. Earlier today I found out that the Mormon Church’s PR department issued a statement saying that promoting “White Culture” was not in harmony with the gospel.

Yet, how can that be when the church itself promotes white culture every time it dedicates a church in a white area?

The Church PR department, nor any member of the church I know of, has ever asked a black, Asian, Arab, etc. member of the church to renounce their culture and not promote it. In fact, the church’s recent growth among Samoan peoples has seen a huge surge in Island cultural celebrations in wards across America. The Church even owns and operates a Polynesian Cultural Center in Hawaii to preserve and promote Polynesian culture.
So why are whites, and only whites, being singled out?

Some people will claim that there is no white culture, that there is only Irish, Greek or German culture. To that I respond, is there no black culture? Is there only Somali, Conganese, Ethiopian, etc? A cultural group shares similar traits that are more like one another than they are other groups. You can break culture down along many different lines but the reality is that British people and Polish people are more similar to one another in terms of language roots, native dress, holidays, religion, values, art, architecture, food, etc than they are to Japanese people or Chinese people. Conversely the Japanese people and Chinese people will be more similar to each other in those same terms than they are to the British and the Polish because they share an over arching culture.

So I would ask again, why are white Europeans the only ones denied the right to promote their culture? Is that not the very definition of racism?

I have always maintained that all people, of every race, are children of God. I say it on my social media accounts all the time. Nothing I have ever said, nothing I believe, is inconsistent with the gospel of Jesus Christ. To me Christ comes first in every single thing I do.
