<p>The Tablets of Fate are indirectly the cause of <a href="https://xaeyruudh.wordpress.com/2012/01/30/time-of-troubles/" title="The Time of Troubles">the Time of Troubles</a>.  Bane and Myrkul conspired to steal them from Ao, which predictably pissed him off and caused him to drop the powers onto the surface of Faer&ucirc;n until the tablets were returned&#8230; and hopefully they learned a lesson in humility in the process.  The tablets were returned, but I don&#8217;t think most of the Gods really learned anything.</p>
<p>The tablets have no magic; at least none that mortals or powers can access.</p>
