<p>Murgh&ocirc;m is a nation politically controlled by <a href="https://xaeyruudh.wordpress.com/2012/01/17/mulhorand/" title="Mulhorand">Mulhorand</a>, economically dominated by <a href="https://xaeyruudh.wordpress.com/2012/02/08/semphar/" title="Semphar">Semphar</a>, and cursed with a line of ineffectual kings.  Villages are semi-autonomous, each ruled by a respected elder known as an <a href="https://xaeyruudh.wordpress.com/2012/10/29/ataman/" title="Ataman">ataman</a>.</p>
<p>Neighboring nations and regions include Mulhorand to the west, <a href="https://xaeyruudh.wordpress.com/2012/02/04/mountains-of-copper/" title="The Mountains of Copper">the Mountains of Copper</a> and beyond them <a href="https://xaeyruudh.wordpress.com/2012/02/04/hordelands/" title="The Hordelands">the Hordelands</a> to the north, Gbor Nor and <a href="https://xaeyruudh.wordpress.com/2012/02/08/semphar/" title="Semphar">Semphar</a> to the east, and <a href="https://xaeyruudh.wordpress.com/2012/03/23/plains-of-purple-dust/" title="The Plains of Purple Dust">the Plains of Purple Dust</a> to the south.</p>
<p>The year, in the Xaeyruudh campaign, is 1365 DR.  The throne of Murgh&ocirc;m sits empty, vacated recently but underutilized for many years.</p>
