Yellow Pearl is an alternate history novel-in-progress exploring what        might have happened if Australia had used its Japanese residents in military intelligence in the second World War.

This site catalogues my research journey into what actually happened at the time.  I’ve come across so many compelling people and stories along the way, but only a few of them will make the final edit of the book.  Here, I can do more justice to the stories behind the story.
